Meet Jo
Hi, I'm Jo, the therapist behind Wandering Sole Therapies.
After a 20-year career working as a professional fundraiser for a variety of charities, I took the opportunity to retrain as a holistic therapist in 2020 and established Wandering Sole Therapies in September 2021.
I trained in Clinical Reflexology with David Wayte at Jubilee College of Reflexology and have since continued to develop my range of complementary therapies.
Today I offer Reflexology, Hand Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Chakra Balancing, Reiki, Reiki Drumming, Indian Head Massage and Ear Candling, alongside guidance and support with mindfulness and meditation.
My aim is to provide a calm, welcoming space where treatments can be tailored to you and your individual wellbeing needs.
I am fully insured, DBS checked, a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR) and registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
Reflexology Treatments
Relaxing treatments based on the principle that different areas of the body are reflected through points on the feet and hands.
Reflexology uses pressure and massage techniques across these reflex points and can be enjoyed as a deeply relaxing complementary therapy.
Jo offers several different ways to experience Reflexology, from a traditional treatment to sessions incorporating Aromatherapy or Chakra Balancing.

Hand Reflexology
Prefer not to have your feet treated? Reflexology can also be performed on the hands.
This can also be a lovely introduction for anyone curious about Reflexology who isn't quite ready for a traditional foot treatment.

Reiki
A gentle Japanese energy-based therapy offering an opportunity to slow down, relax and switch off.
During a Reiki session, Jo uses a series of hand positions either gently on or just above the body.
You remain fully clothed throughout, making Reiki a particularly gentle treatment choice for those who don't want massage or a hands-on body treatment.
Many people simply choose Reiki for the opportunity to relax and enjoy some quiet time away from everyday demands.

Reiki Drum Therapy
Combining Reiki with the rhythm and vibration of a drum.
Jo also offers Reiki Drum treatments, which bring together Reiki and therapeutic drumming for a rather different holistic experience.
Reiki Drum Healing
The drum is used alongside Reiki to create a rhythmic, immersive treatment designed to encourage deep relaxation and a sense of wellbeing.

Reiki Drumming Journey
A more meditative experience using the repetitive rhythm of the drum to support relaxation, visualisation and inward reflection.

Indian Head Massage
Relaxing massage for the upper back, shoulders, neck, head and face.
Indian Head Massage is performed seated and focuses on areas where many of us naturally hold tension.
Jo works across the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, face and scalp, making this a lovely option if you'd like a shorter relaxing treatment without having a full-body massage. Her booking information confirms these are the areas included.

Ear Candling
A gentle holistic treatment also known as Thermo Auricular Therapy.
Ear Candling uses specially designed hollow candles which are carefully positioned at the entrance to the ear while you relax.
Jo incorporates the treatment into a relaxing holistic session rather than presenting it as a medical treatment.

Aromatherapy Consultation
Discover a more personalised approach to aromatherapy.
If you're interested in essential oils and would like to understand how aromatherapy could be incorporated into your wellbeing routine, Jo offers a dedicated one-to-one Aromatherapy Consultation.
The consultation gives Jo time to discuss your individual needs and explore suitable essential oils, with the option of a bespoke blended aromatherapy product tailored specifically for you – something Jo also highlights through her booking service.
Appointments can be held face-to-face, online or by telephone.
